TORONTO, ON / ACCESS Newswire / September 24, 2026 / Nine Mile Metals Ltd. (CSE:NINE)(OTCID:VMSXF)(FSE:KQ9) (the “Company” or “Nine Mile”) is pleased to announce assay results for DDH WD-26-14, at the Wedge Mine in the Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick.

WD-26-14 HIGHLIGHTS:
- DDH WD-26-14 intersected 5.09% Cu-Eq over 14.15 m (107.35 – 121.50 m, true width), including 6.35% Cu-Eq over 9.00 m and 7.45% Cu-Eq over 6.00 m.
- Peak sample of 8.59% Cu-Eq (3.41% Cu, 2.29% Pb, 11.30% Zn, 55 g/t Ag, 0.829 g/t Au) from 120.50 – 121.50 m.
- Grades strengthen with depth – the six highest Cu-Eq samples all sit in the bottom 6 m of the intersection
- Peak individual metals: 4.57% Cu, 11.30% Zn, 2.29% Pb, 62 g/t Ag and 1.355 g/t Au.
- Eight (8) BHEM surveys commencing on perimeter holes, with results processed onsite within 24 hours, to target the second round of drilling on the depth and lateral extent of the lenses.
DDH WD-26-14 was collared in the southwest, at the edge of our drill pattern(oriented at 295°, angled -65° below horizontal), to a depth of 158 meters. Collared in graphitic sediments, the drill hole was successful, intersecting high-grade VMS mineralization between 107.35 – 121.50 meters followed by intercalated sediment and volcanics to 135.1 meters, the hole terminating in felsic volcanics. The mineralization consisted of pyritic VMS with visible chalcopyrite and local galena (Figure 1) and sphalerite (Figure 4), the assay values for Ag, Au, Cu and Zn increasing with depth.
The intersections reported are of true width.
Gary Lohman, P.Geo., VP Exploration and Director, stated, “The drill holes collared in the southwest continue to impress, with both base and precious metal grades increasing with depth. The drill holes in the southwest demonstrate the width of the mineralization and following the upcoming BHEM survey, a second round of drilling will assist in characterizing both the depth and lateral extent of the individual lenses.”

Shaded rows are the peak sample for each mineral. Copper Equivalent (Cu-Eq) combines all five metals into one comparable grade, calculated using August 26, 2026, Kitco pricing: US$6.52/lb. Cu, US$0.85/lb. Pb, US$1.84/lb. Zn, US$67.77/oz Ag, US$4,591.50 /oz Au, with a uniform 95% metallurgical recovery assumed for all metals; since it is unclear which metals will be the principal products, assuming differing recoveries by metal is premature at this stage. Copper equivalent grades are for comparative purposes only and do not represent recoverable metal.

Patrick J. Cruickshank, MBA, CEO & Director, stated “WD-26-14 is a spectacular traditional VMS hole, well balanced in high-grade Cu – Pb – Zn – Ag – Au. The copper and zinc were outstanding. Let us put this in perspective: 5.09% Cu-Eq over 14.15m is like 1% Cu-Eq over 72m. We need to remember that until we complete the BHEM surveys, with BHEM results processed onsite within 24 hours, we drill perpendicular to the steeply dipping lenses, so we are drilling the widths, not the vertical depths. These styles of deposits and lenses pinch and swell, and this is an example of where a lens pinches but still delivers a huge quality intercept. Once the surveys give us the picture, especially the workings above, we can attack the deposit at depth. The drill rig will be onsite for the survey in case we need to ream any holes. We are completing eight (8) BHEM surveys on a selection of perimeter holes (north, east, priority west and south base). We look forward to our next news release.”

Analysis, QAQC and Qualified Person
All samples were submitted to ALS Global in Moncton, an independent commercial laboratory, for preparation and assaying (ME-ICP61a four-acid digestion with ICP-AES; Au by fire assay Au-AA23 with AA finish; overlimit Au by gravimetric analysis and overlimit base metals by OG62). ALS runs its own QA/QC protocols including coarse and pulp duplicates. Nine Mile’s QAQC program includes regular insertion of CRM standards, duplicates, and blanks with a stringent review of all results; QAQC and data validation were performed and no material errors were observed. Technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 and reviewed and approved by Gary Lohman, B.Sc., P.Geo., VP Exploration and Director, the Company’s Qualified Person, who is not independent of the Company.
